OSUK

OSUK is in a unique position! Born of the desire by vessel owners to utilize downtime and seek diversification work, due to restriction in fishing opportunities

OSUK was created by the amalgamation of 2 leading political fishing associations as a commercial arm, focused on procurement of  alternate work for its member vessels

This created a beacon which all other organisations now follow, allowing OSUK to have at its disposal a fleet of 650 modern vessels of various design and capabilities from 10m boats to 70m ships

The Scottish fishing industry has evolved along with the offshore oil industry

Cutting edge technology in design, electronics, navigation and communications

Deck equipment include computer controlled winches, cranes and gantries capable of deploying and recovering

It was soon identified technology in the catching sector could not be transferred internationally without support industries; marketing, processing, servicing……..

Offshore Solutions UK focused on new opportunities

An approach by the Egyptian government for fisheries development and creation of a new port in the Damietta area and a desire for the model to be based on Peterhead (number 1 fishing and oil support harbour in the UK)

On a mission to Mexico requests came in the form of a need for support and survey vessels for the offshore oil industry, which the larger of our fleet can adapt for service.

With inquiries going beyond the capabilities of OSUK ships, for these type of specialised vessels.

OSUK has affiliated with a network of ship brokers world wide and took membership of BIMCO so as this service is achievable.
